 12 Things To Do When You're Heartbroken
 
 

1. Write an actual list of all your favorite things about your everyday life and realize you still have them.
2. DIY something pretty cute for yourself such as a bracelets, necklace or something like that, and enjoy the sense of achievement. 
3. Go for a long run with one of your favorite song single cycle in your headphones.
4. Smile at people you pass and watch them smile back.
5. Watch one of your favorite feel good movies and sing along with the songs in them.
6. Re-read all of the Harry Potter books.
7. Hang out with your friends, singing, dancing, or do whatever you used do. But, make sure first that they are friends who wouldn’t judge you if you cried, but would more likely than not make you laugh.
8. Get yourself all dressed up to go out or enjoy the way that has full attention and realize how much better you feel.
9. Sleep with your head on the wrong end of the bed and realize how oddly different everything seems.
10. Watch a movie that you know will make you cry — cry for reasons other than romantic love — and allow it to make you sob. Weep over the movie until you feel like you’re all cried out, completely emptied of tears, and realize that you can’t cry for your heartbreak anymore, at least for that moment.
11. Buy really nice, pretty underwear. It doesn’t matter if no one else is going to see it — that’s not the point. You do it for yourself.
12. Give someone a big hug. A real hug. Like you mean it.
